Maggie Ray wanted to get in this Jeep as soon as we pulled up. She finally got her chance and I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get her out. Her first time driving.
Maggie Ray's first time driving was quite and experience.
She drives the Jeep like Claire Beth drives the boat.

She gets a little help from Greysen SO.....
She tries again..

Our Bikes
Granddaddy brought us some big girl bikes to ride.
Claire Beth actually is very good, she has a little more difficulty riding on dirt, but if she was on pavement she would be dangerous.
Blueberry Festival 2010
We went to the Blueberry Festival but we weren't there very long, it was too hot. We wanted to go in the afternoon, but with a Birthday party and a pool party for Olivia Grace's softball team we had to go in the morning.
Taking a break to eat some lunch
Olivia Grace
Maggie Ray..Yes, I want an entire pint of blueberries JUST FOR ME!!

Playdate
Our Thursday Playdate with Alexis, Cayden and Blake
Alexis usually won't let you take her picture, but some how I managed to get a great picture of her.

Blake playing in the chair and Cayden observes
Hello Sweet Girl
I'm not sure what Allison and Amber were doing, but I got them
Claire Beth and Blake eating ice cream (play ice cream)
Alexis and Cayden watch to see if they really are going to eat that ice cream
Alexis and Cayden got tickled at getting in the chair. They even turned it over one time. In their defense it was quite funny.
I'm not sure what was happening, but Alexis thought it was funny
Got a good shot of all of them. Cayden, Claire Beth, Maggie Ray, Blake and Alexis.

Summer Flowers
Saw this idea and thought I would make some flower pots for our porch. First I started with clay pots, sprayed them the colors I wanted.
Then I placed bricks inside of the two bottom pots to create some height but to let the water flow through.
I then filled the pots with potting soil and placed flowers inside.
It adds a lot of color to our front porch.

GET MY NAME RIGHT!!!!
Ok, here is my latest soap box. Why is it so hard to get my girls' names correct? I named my girls double names for a reason. We do live in the South and it is very common to have a double name, but people cannot seem to get it. If you ask me "what are their names?" and I say "Maggie Ray and Claire Beth", then that is what I want them called. Don't turn around and call them Maggie and Claire. Their names are "Maggie Ray" and "Claire Beth". If you ask me my name and I say Susan, DON'T call me Sue!!!!
I know, I find it difficult to correct people because I don't want to be mean or sound rude, but I have got to find a way to get my point across. Any suggestions?

Another project
So in the previous post I made the flowers and didn't know what I was going to use them for. Well, I decided to make hats for the girls to wear this Summer and then the flowers found a home.....
Olivia Grace modeling her hat.

Claire Beth modeling Olivia Grace's hat, her flowers are different than this but she wanted to wear this one for the picture. Check out that grin.
It took a lot to get this picture and it isn't the best, but there they are together with their hats.

On the creative side
I decided to get a little creative this evening. I had seen these different places and decided to give it a try. I took an old t-shirt and cut out 10 petals to create a flower.
I then sewed the petals together with string to make a flower.
I then took a button and sewed it in the middle to complete it. I think it turned out cute for my first try. I'm not sure what I am going to do with it yet. I may put it on a t-shirt to dress it up or make a headband for Olivia Grace.
Then I took the same t-shirt and cut strips about an inch wide and twisted them holding them together with a stitch to make these.
I don't have a plan for these either.
